कुम्भकर्णात्मजं वीरं क्रुद्धाः समभिदुद्रुवुः ।
समीक्ष्यापततस्तांस्तु वानरेन्द्रान् महाबलान् ॥६-७६-६१॥
kumbhakarṇātmajaṃ vīraṃ kruddhāḥ samabhidudruvuḥ |
samīkṣyāpatatāṃstāṃstu vānarendrān mahābalān ॥6-76-61॥
Translation
The enraged monkeys rushed toward that heroic son of Kumbhakarna. Seeing those mighty monkey-chiefs approaching him—

क्रोधित वानरों ने कुम्भकर्ण के उस वीर पुत्र पर धावा बोल दिया। अपनी ओर आते हुए उन महाबली वानरराजों को देखकर—
English Commentary
The word 'Vira' for the son of Kumbhakarna acknowledges his personal bravery. The monkeys' collective charge aimed to destabilize him. Kumbha realized that the tide was turning and he would have to face multiple champions simultaneously. This depicts the fluctuating momentum of the battle.

कुम्भकर्ण के पुत्र के लिए 'वीर' शब्द उसकी व्यक्तिगत बहादुरी को स्वीकार करता है। वानरों का सामूहिक धावा उसे विचलित करने के लिए था। कुम्भ ने देखा कि अब स्थिति बदल रही है और उसे एक साथ कई महारथियों का सामना करना होगा। यह युद्ध के उस क्षण का चित्रण है जहाँ पलड़ा बार-बार इधर-उधर झुक रहा था।
