अङ्गदं पृष्ठतः कृत्वा भ्रातृजं प्लवगेश्वरः ।
अबिदुद्राव वेगेन सुग्रीवः कुम्भमाहवे ॥६-७६-६४॥
aṅgadaṃ pṛṣṭhataḥ kṛtvā bhrātṛjaṃ plavageśvaraḥ |
abidudrāva vegena sugrīvaḥ kumbhamāhave ॥6-76-64॥
Translation
Placing his nephew Angada behind him, Sugriva, the lord of monkeys, rushed with great speed toward Kumbha in the battle.
हिंदी अनुवाद
अपने भतीजे अंगद को पीछे करके वानरराज सुग्रीव युद्ध में बड़े वेग से कुम्भ की ओर दौड़े।
English Commentary
Sugriva emerges here as an ideal guardian and sovereign. Placing his nephew ('Bhratrijam') Angada behind him signifies his fatherly affection and responsibility. He chooses to face the danger himself to protect the wounded Angada. Sugriva's momentum is a marker of his invincible resolve.

सुग्रीव जी यहाँ एक आदर्श संरक्षक और राजा के रूप में उभरे हैं। 'भ्रातृजम्' (भाई के पुत्र) अंगद को पीछे करना उनके पितृ-तुल्य स्नेह और उत्तरदायित्व को दर्शाता है। वे स्वयं संकट का सामना करना चाहते थे ताकि घायल अंगद की रक्षा हो सके। सुग्रीव का यह वेग उनके अजेय संकल्प का परिचायक है।
