अन्यांश्च विविधान् वृक्षांश्चिक्षेप च महाबलः ।
तां छादयन्तीमाकाशं वृक्षवृष्टिं दुरासदाम् ॥६-७६-६६॥
anyāṃśca vividhān vṛkṣāñcikṣepa ca mahābalaḥ |
tāṃ chādayantīmākāśaṃ vṛkṣavṛṣṭiṃ durāsadām ॥6-76-66॥
Translation
That mighty one (Sugriva) hurled various other trees as well. That intolerable rain of trees, which was covering the sky—

उन महाबली (सुग्रीव) ने अन्य विविध वृक्षों को भी कुम्भ पर फेंका। आकाश को ढक देने वाली वृक्षों की उस असहनीय वर्षा को—
English Commentary
Sugriva's attack was so extensive that 'the sky was covered.' This proves his massive physical strength and the density of his assault. The word 'Durasadam' (intolerable/unapproachable) suggests that withstanding this rain was impossible for any ordinary warrior. This was the Vanara King's direct challenge to Kumbha.

सुग्रीव का आक्रमण इतना व्यापक था कि 'आकाश ढक गया' (छादयन्तीम् आकाशम्)। यह उनके प्रचंड बाहुबल और प्रहार की सघनता को सिद्ध करता है। 'दुरासदाम्' (असहनीय) शब्द यह बताता है कि इस वर्षा के सामने टिकना किसी भी साधारण योद्धा के लिए असंभव था। यह वानरराज की कुम्भ को सीधे चुनौती थी।
