वानराधिपतिः श्रीमान् महासत्त्वो न विव्यथे ।
निर्भिद्यमानः सहसा सहमानश्च तान् शरान् ॥६-७६-६९॥
vānarādhipatiḥ śrīmān mahāsattvo na vivyathe |
nirbhidyamānaḥ sahasā sahamānaśca tān śarān ॥6-76-69॥
Translation
The illustrious and highly spirited King of monkeys, Sugriva, was not perturbed. Even while being pierced by arrows, he patiently endured those strikes.
हिंदी अनुवाद
श्रीमान और अत्यंत साहसी वानरराज सुग्रीव विचलित नहीं हुए। बाणों से बिंधे जाने पर भी वे उन प्रहारों को धैर्यपूर्वक सहते रहे।
English Commentary
Sugriva's 'Na Vivyathe' (not being perturbed) proves his 'Maha-Sattva' (immense courage). It is a king's duty to endure pain while leading his people. Sugriva took Kumbha's lethal arrows upon his own body, symbolizing his invincible patience and his dedication to Shri Rama.

सुग्रीव का 'न विव्यथे' (विचलित न होना) उनके 'महा-सत्त्व' (असीम साहस) को सिद्ध करता है। एक राजा का धर्म है कि वह स्वयं पीड़ा सहकर अपनी प्रजा का मार्गदर्शन करे। सुग्रीव ने कुम्भ के घातक बाणों को अपने शरीर पर लिया, जो उनके अजेय धैर्य और श्री राम के प्रति उनके समर्पण का प्रतीक है।
