अङ्गदः प्रतिविद्धाङ्गो वालिपुत्रः प्रतापवान् ।
धनुरग्र्यं रथं बाणान् ममर्द तरसा बली ॥६-७६-७॥
aṅgadaḥ pratividdhāṅgo vāliputraḥ pratāpavān |
dhanuragryaṃ rathaṃ bāṇān mamarda tarasā balī ॥6-76-7॥
Translation
The illustrious and powerful Angada, son of Vali, although his limbs were pierced by arrows, quickly crushed that demon's excellent bow, chariot, and arrows with his force.
हिंदी अनुवाद
बाणों से बिंधे अंगों वाले प्रतापी और बलवान वालिपुत्र अंगद ने बड़े वेग से उस राक्षस के श्रेष्ठ धनुष, रथ और बाणों को कुचल दिया (नष्ट कर दिया)।
English Commentary
Angada's prowess is remarkable here. Instead of weakening him, the pain of the arrows fuels his fury. He strikes directly at the enemy's tactical base—the bow and chariot. This illustrates the Vanara strategy of using raw physical force to dismantle complex war machinery and weaponry. The word 'Mamarda' (crushed) signifies his overwhelming strength.

अंगद जी का पराक्रम यहाँ दर्शनीय है। शरीर पर लगे बाणों की पीड़ा उन्हें निर्बल करने के स्थान पर और अधिक क्रोधित करती है। उन्होंने सीधे शत्रु के युद्ध-आधार—धनुष और रथ—पर प्रहार किया। यह वानरों की उस युद्धनीति को दर्शाता है जहाँ वे अपनी शारीरिक शक्ति से जटिल यंत्रों और अस्त्रों को नष्ट कर देते हैं। 'ममर्द' (कुचल देना) शब्द उनके प्रचंड बल का सूचक है।
