महाविमर्दं समरे मया सह तवाद्भुतम् ।
अद्य भूतानि पश्यन्तु शक्रशम्बरयोरिव ॥६-७६-७७॥
mahāvimardaṃ samare mayā saha tavādbhutam |
adya bhūtāni paśyantu śakraśambarayoriva ॥6-76-77॥
Translation
Let all living beings witness this wonderful and great conflict between you and me today, just like the battle between Indra and Shambarasura.

आज मेरे साथ होने वाले तुम्हारे इस अद्भुत और महान संघर्ष को सभी प्राणी वैसे ही देखें, जैसे इन्द्र और शम्बरासुर का युद्ध हुआ था।
English Commentary
The battle between Indra and Shambarasura was one of the fiercest in mythology. Sugriva accords this duel the same level of historical significance. The word 'Adbhutam' (wonderful) highlights the thrill and supernatural nature of the combat. Sugriva wishes for this fight to be immortalized as a struggle between Dharma and Adharma.

इन्द्र और शम्बरासुर का युद्ध पौराणिक काल के सबसे भीषण युद्धों में से एक था। सुग्रीव इस द्वंद्व को उसी स्तर की ऐतिहासिक महत्ता दे रहे हैं। 'अद्भुतम्' शब्द इस युद्ध के रोमांच और अलौकिकता को दर्शाता है। सुग्रीव चाहते हैं कि यह युद्ध केवल दो योद्धाओं के बीच न रहे, बल्कि धर्म और अधर्म के संघर्ष के रूप में अमर हो जाए।
