ततः कुम्भनिपातेन जलराशिः समुत्थितः ।
विन्ध्यमन्दरसङ्काशो विससर्प समन्ततः ॥६-७६-८५॥
tataḥ kumbhanipātena jalarāśiḥ samutthitaḥ |
vindhyamandarasṅkāśo visasarpasamantataḥ ॥6-76-85॥
Translation
By Kumbha's fall, a mass of water rose as high as the Vindhya and Mandara mountains and spread in all directions.
हिंदी अनुवाद
कुम्भ के गिरने से समुद्र का जल विन्ध्य और मन्दराचल पर्वत के समान ऊंचा उठा और सब ओर फैल गया।
English Commentary
Kumbha's fall was akin to a natural disaster. The water rising to the height of mountains symbolizes his physical enormity and the force of the impact. The comparison to 'Vindhya-Mandara' enhances the grandeur of the scene, providing a vast physical depiction of the collapse of demonic power.

कुम्भ का पतन एक प्राकृतिक आपदा के समान था। जल का पर्वत की ऊँचाई तक उठना उसके शरीर की विशालता और प्रहार की शक्ति का प्रतीक है। 'विन्ध्य-मन्दर' की उपमा दृश्य की भव्यता को बढ़ाती है। यह राक्षसी शक्ति के पतन का एक विराट भौतिक चित्रण है।
