तस्मिन् हते भीमपराक्रमेण प्लवङ्गमानामृषभेण युद्धे ।
मही सशैला सवना चचाल भयं च रक्षांस्यधिकं विवेश ॥६-७६-९४॥
tasmin hate bhīmaparākrameṇa plavaṅgamānāmṛṣabheṇa yuddhe |
mahī saśailā savanā cacāla bhayaṃ ca rakṣāṃsyadhikaṃ viveśa ॥6-76-94॥
Translation
When that demon of fearsome prowess was slain in battle by the foremost of monkeys (Sugriva), the earth along with its mountains and forests trembled, and a great fear entered the hearts of the Rakshasas.
हिंदी अनुवाद
वानर श्रेष्ठ (सुग्रीव) द्वारा युद्ध में उस भयंकर पराक्रमी कुम्भ के मारे जाने पर, पर्वतों और वनों सहित पृथ्वी कांप उठी और राक्षसों के मन में भारी भय समा गया।
English Commentary
The sarga concludes with the impact of Kumbha's death. The trembling of the earth signifies the removal of a great burden of unrighteousness. The 'great fear' within the Rakshasas proves they now considered their defeat inevitable. Sugriva's victory brought Shri Rama's campaign even closer to its ultimate success.

सर्ग का समापन कुम्भ के वध के प्रभाव के साथ होता है। पृथ्वी का कांपना अधर्म के एक महान बोझ के कम होने का संकेत है। राक्षसों का 'भारी भय' (अधिकं भयम्) यह सिद्ध करता है कि वे अब अपनी हार को अनिवार्य मान चुके थे। सुग्रीव की इस विजय ने श्री राम के अभियान को अंतिम सफलता के और निकट पहुँचा दिया।
