परिघोपमबाहुस्तु परिघं भास्करप्रभम् ।
बली बलवतस्तस्य पातयामास वक्षसि ॥६-७७-१२॥
parighopamabāhustu parighaṃ bhāskaraprabham |
balī balavatastasya pātayāmāsa vakṣasi ॥6-77-12॥
Translation
That strong one (Nikumbha), whose arms were like iron bars, brought down that sun-bright iron club onto the chest of the strong one (Hanuman).
हिंदी अनुवाद
परिघ के समान भुजाओं वाले उस बलवान (निकुम्भ) ने सूर्य के समान चमकते हुए उस परिघ को बलवान (हनुमान) की छाती पर दे मारा।
English Commentary
Nikumbha's first strike. He hit Hanuman's chest with full force.
