ततः स्रग्दामसन्नद्धं दत्तपञ्चाङ्गुलं शुभम् ।
आददे परिघं वीरो नगेन्द्रशिखरोपमम् ॥६-७७-२॥
tataḥ sragdāmasannaddhaṃ dattapañcāṅgulaṃ śubham |
ādade parighaṃ vīro nagendraśikharopamam ॥6-77-2॥
Translation
Then the hero took up an auspicious iron club (Parigha), adorned with garlands, marked with five-finger prints of sandalwood paste, and resembling the peak of a great mountain.
हिंदी अनुवाद
तब उस वीर ने एक शुभ परिघ (लोहे का मुगदर) उठाया, जो मालाओं से बंधा था, जिस पर चंदन का 'पंचांगुल' छापा लगा था और जो पर्वतराज के शिखर के समान (विशाल) था।
English Commentary
A detailed description of Nikumbha's weapon, the 'Parigha'. Being adorned with garlands and sandalwood prints suggests it was worshipped, reflecting the martial culture of Rakshasas. Its size is compared to a mountain peak.
