Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
तानि दृष्ट्वा निमित्तानि राक्षसा वीर्यवत्तमाः ।
अचिन्त्य निर्गताः सर्वे यत्र तौ रामलक्ष्मणौ ॥६-७८-२०॥
tāni dṛṣṭvā nimittāni rākṣasā vīryavattamāḥ |
acintya nirgatāḥ sarve yatra tau rāmalakṣmaṇau ॥6-78-20॥
Translation
Having seen those omens, those exceedingly powerful Rakshasas disregarded them and all marched out to where Shri Rama and Lakshmana were.
हिंदी अनुवाद
उन अपशकुनों को देखकर भी वे महापराक्रमी राक्षस उनकी चिंता किए बिना सब के सब वहाँ के लिए निकल पड़े जहाँ श्री राम और लक्ष्मण थे।
English Commentary
This verse underscores the theme of unavoidable destiny. Despite witnessing clear warnings (nimittani), the Rakshasas chose to ignore them. Their title as 'most powerful' (viryavattamah) suggests their physical strength became their weakness, breeding arrogance that blinded them to spiritual realities. They marched blindly towards their nemesis, Shri Rama and Lakshmana.

विनाश काले विपरीत बुद्धि। यद्यपि राक्षसों ने इन भयावह अपशकुनों को देखा, तथापि अपने बल के अहंकार ('वीर्यवत्तमाः') और मोह के कारण उन्होंने इनकी उपेक्षा ('अचिंत्य') कर दी। वे मृत्यु के मुख में स्वेच्छा से प्रवेश कर रहे थे। यह श्लोक नियति की प्रबलता को सिद्ध करता है।
