समीपस्थं बलाध्यक्षं खरपुत्रो ऽब्रवीदिदम् ।
रथश्चानीयतां शीघ्रं सैन्यं चाहूयतां त्वरात् ॥६-७८-६॥
samīpasthaṃ balādhyakṣaṃ kharaputro'bravīdidam |
rathaścānīyatāṃ śīghraṃ sainyaṃ cāhūyatāṃ tvarāt ॥6-78-6॥
Translation
The son of Khara spoke thus to the army commander standing nearby: 'Let a chariot be brought quickly and summon the army without delay.'

खर के पुत्र ने समीप खड़े सेनापति से यह कहा—'शीघ्र ही रथ लाया जाए और तुरंत सेना को बुलाया जाए।'
English Commentary
Makaraksha's urgency is evident in his commands. He orders the mobilization of resources immediately. Addressing the baladhyaksha (commander of forces), he ensures logistical readiness. The repetition of words implying speed (shighram, tvarat) shows his eagerness to engage in battle, driven by overconfidence and the heat of the moment.

मकराक्ष की आतुरता यहाँ स्पष्ट होती है। वह तनिक भी विलंब नहीं करना चाहता। वह सेनापति को दो मुख्य आदेश देता है—वाहन (रथ) की व्यवस्था और सैनिकों को एकत्रित करना। 'शीघ्रम्' और 'त्वरात्' शब्दों का प्रयोग उसकी युद्ध-लिप्सा और रावण के आदेश पालन में उसकी तत्परता को दर्शाता है।
