तस्य तद्वचनं श्रुत्वा बलाध्यक्षो निशाचरः ।
स्यन्दनं च बलं चैव समीपं प्रत्यपादयत् ॥६-७८-७॥
tasya tadvacanaṃ śrutvā balādhyakṣo niśācaraḥ |
syandanaṃ ca balaṃ caiva samīpaṃ pratyapādayat ॥6-78-7॥
Translation
Hearing those words of his, the night-roaming army commander brought the chariot and the army into his presence.

उसकी वह बात सुनकर निशाचर सेनापति ने रथ और सेना को उसके समीप उपस्थित कर दिया।
English Commentary
This verse illustrates the efficiency of the Rakshasa military chain of command. The commander complies instantly, presenting both the war chariot (syandana) and the troops. It sets the scene for the departure, showing that while the Rakshasas were morally misguided, their martial organization and discipline were formidable.

लंका की सैन्य व्यवस्था की दक्षता यहाँ दिखाई देती है। आदेश मिलते ही सेनापति ने संसाधनों को जुटा दिया। 'स्यन्दन' रथ का पर्यायवाची है। रथी (योद्धा) और सारथी (चालक) का तालमेल युद्ध में महत्वपूर्ण होता है, और यहाँ सेनापति की भूमिका लॉजिस्टिक्स (रसद और प्रबंधन) को संभालने की है।
