Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
स्वाशितास्तव मांसेन गृध्रगोमायुवायसाः ।
भविष्यन्त्यद्य वै पाप तीक्ष्णतुण्डनखाङ्कुराः ॥६-७९-२७॥
svāśitāstava māṃsena gṛdhragomāyuvāyasāḥ |
bhaviṣyantyadya vai pāpa tīkṣṇatuṇḍanakhāṅkurāḥ ॥6-79-27॥
Translation
O sinner! Today, the vultures, jackals, and crows, with their sharp beaks and claws, shall be well-fed with your flesh.
हिंदी अनुवाद
हे पापी! आज गीध, गीदड़ और कौवे तुम्हारे मांस को खाकर अपनी तीखी चोंच और नाखूनों को तृप्त करेंगे।
English Commentary
Shri Rama's tone is harsh and definitive. By calling Makaraksha a 'Papa' (sinner), He pronounces the sentence for his deeds. The mention of scavengers like vultures and jackals brings the grim reality of imminent death to the fore. The Lord speaks here as the destroyer of unrighteousness.

श्री राम का यह स्वर अत्यंत कठोर और निर्णायक है। वे मकराक्ष को 'पापी' कहकर उसके कर्मों का दंड घोषित कर रहे हैं। युद्धभूमि के इन हिंसक पक्षियों और पशुओं का उल्लेख आसन्न मृत्यु की वास्तविकता को सजीव कर देता है। भगवान यहाँ अधर्म के संहारक रूप में बोल रहे हैं।
