राघवेणैवमुक्तस्तु खरपुत्रो निशाचरः ।
बाणौघानमुचत्तस्मै राघवाय रणाजिरे ॥६-७९-२९॥
rāghaveṇaivamuktastu kharaputro niśācaraḥ |
bāṇaughānamucattasmai rāghavāya raṇājire ॥6-79-29॥
Translation
Being spoken to thus by Shri Rama, the night-stalker son of Khara discharged volleys of arrows at Him on the battlefield.
हिंदी अनुवाद
श्री रघुनाथ जी द्वारा ऐसा कहे जाने पर, खर के पुत्र उस निशाचर ने युद्धभूमि में उन पर बाणों की वर्षा आरम्भ कर दी।
English Commentary
The time for words has passed. Filled with rage, Makaraksha chooses the path of direct assault. The term 'Banaughan' (masses of arrows) indicates that he struck Shri Rama with his full strength and velocity. This is Makaraksha's final struggle, exerting his entire capability to avenge his father.

बातों का समय अब समाप्त हो चुका है। मकराक्ष ने क्रोध में भरकर प्रत्यक्ष आक्रमण का मार्ग चुना। 'बाणौघान्' (बाणों के समूह) यह दर्शाते हैं कि उसने अपनी पूरी शक्ति और वेग के साथ श्री राम पर प्रहार किया। यह मकराक्ष का अंतिम संघर्ष है जहाँ वह अपने पिता के वध का बदला लेने के लिए अपनी पूरी सामर्थ्य लगा रहा है।
