तत्तिष्ठद्वसुधां रक्षः शूलं जग्राह पाणिना ।
त्रासनं सर्वभूतानां युगान्ताग्निसमप्रभम् ॥६-७९-३९॥
tattiṣṭhadvadvasudhāṃ rakṣaḥ śūlaṃ jagrāha pāṇinā |
trāsanaṃ sarvabhūtānāṃ yugāntāgnisamaprabham ॥6-79-39॥
Translation
Standing on the earth, that Rakshasa seized a trident in his hand, which was terrifying to all living beings and radiant like the fire at the end of an eon.

पृथ्वी पर खड़े होकर उस राक्षस ने हाथ में शूल उठा लिया, जो सभी प्राणियों को डराने वाला और प्रलय की अग्नि के समान तेजस्वी था।
English Commentary
Deprived of his bow, Makaraksha adopts the 'Shula' (trident) as his final weapon. The comparison to 'Yugantagni' (the fire of cosmic dissolution) underscores the missile's catastrophic potential. He prepares for a final, desperate strike using his physical might and this lethal arm. It depicts the stubborn, unyielding nature of the demonic ego.

धनुष टूटने पर मकराक्ष ने 'शूल' (त्रिशूल) को अपना अंतिम शस्त्र बनाया। प्रलय की अग्नि (युगान्ताग्नि) की उपमा इस अस्त्र की विनाशकारी क्षमता को रेखांकित करती है। वह अब अपनी शारीरिक शक्ति और इस घातक अस्त्र के माध्यम से श्री राम पर अंतिम प्रहार करने की तैयारी में था। यह असुरों की हार न मानने वाली हठी प्रकृति का चित्रण है।
