तमापतन्तं ज्वलितं खरपुत्रकराच्च्युतम् ।
बाणैस्तु त्रिभिराकाशे शूलं चिच्छेद राघवः ॥६-७९-४१॥
tamāpatantaṃ jvalitaṃ kharaputrakarāccyutam |
bāṇaistu tribhirākāśe śūlaṃ ciccheda rāghavaḥ ॥6-79-41॥
Translation
Shri Rama severed that blazing trident, released from the hand of the son of Khara, in mid-air with three arrows.
हिंदी अनुवाद
खर के पुत्र के हाथ से छूटे हुए उस जलते हुए और अपनी ओर आते हुए शूल को श्री रघुनाथ जी ने आकाश में ही तीन बाणों से काट डाला।
English Commentary
Shri Rama's concentration and unerring aim are awe-inspiring here. The use of exactly 'three' arrows proves that the Lord required minimal effort to neutralize the enemy's most terrifying strike. Shattering it in 'Akasha' (mid-air) demonstrates that the assaults of unrighteousness cannot even touch the aura of Truth.

श्री राम की एकाग्रता और अचूक निशानेबाजी यहाँ विस्मयकारी है। 'तीन' बाणों का प्रयोग यह सिद्ध करता है कि प्रभु को शत्रु के सबसे भयंकर प्रहार को नष्ट करने के लिए भी न्यूनतम प्रयास की आवश्यकता थी। 'आकाशे' (आकाश में) ही नष्ट कर देना यह दर्शाता है कि अधर्म का प्रहार सत्य के आभामंडल को छू भी नहीं सकता।
