स तं दृष्ट्वा पतन्तं वै प्रहस्य रघुनन्दनः ।
पावकास्त्रं ततो रामः सन्दधे तु शरासने ॥६-७९-४५॥
sa taṃ dṛṣṭvā patantaṃ vai prahasya raghunandanaḥ |
pāvakāstraṃ tato rāmaḥ sandadhe tu śarāsane ॥6-79-45॥
Translation
Seeing him rushing forward, Shri Rama, the delight of the Raghu dynasty, laughed and fixed the 'Pavakastra' (Fire-missile) upon His bow.
हिंदी अनुवाद
उसे अपनी ओर झपटते देख रघुकुल भूषण श्री राम ने हँसते हुए अपने धनुष पर 'पावकास्त्र' (अग्नि अस्त्र) चढ़ाया।
English Commentary
Shri Rama's renewed laughter signals the certainty of Makaraksha's end. He now deploys the 'Pavakastra' (Agneyastra) to conclude the engagement. 'Pavaka' refers to fire that purifies. This missile is intended not just to kill the enemy, but to incinerate his demonic essence and purify the atmosphere.

श्री राम की पुनः 'हंसी' मकराक्ष के विनाश की निश्चितता को बताती है। वे अब खेल को समाप्त करने के लिए 'पावकास्त्र' (आग्नेयास्त्र) का प्रयोग कर रहे हैं। 'पावक' का अर्थ है पवित्र करने वाली अग्नि। यह अस्त्र केवल शत्रु को मारने के लिए नहीं, बल्कि उसके राक्षसी अस्तित्व को भस्म करके वातावरण को शुद्ध करने के लिए है।
