तान् दृष्ट्वा राक्षसाः सर्वे द्रवमाणान् वलीमुखान् ।
नेदुस्ते सिंहवद्धृष्टा राक्षसा जितकाशिनः ॥६-७९-७॥
tān dṛṣṭvā rākṣasāḥ sarve dravamāṇān valīmukhān |
neduste siṃhavaddhṛṣṭā rākṣasā jitakāśinaḥ ॥6-79-7॥
Translation
Seeing those monkeys fleeing, all the Rakshasas rejoiced and, appearing victorious, uttered lion-like roars.

उन भागते हुए वानरों को देखकर सभी राक्षस अत्यंत हर्षित हुए और वे विजयी भाव के साथ सिंह के समान गर्जना करने लगे।
English Commentary
The Rakshasas appearing 'Jitakashinah' (as if already victorious) highlights their surging hubris. Their lion-like roars function as psychological weapons to further shatter the enemy's confidence. They mistakenly believe that under Makaraksha, the war is already won. This scene depicts the temporary triumph of unrighteousness, a common precursor to the final, crushing strike of Truth.

राक्षसों का 'जितकाशिन्' (विजयी जैसा दिखने वाला) भाव उनके बढ़ते हुए अहंकार का सूचक है। सिंह के समान गर्जना (सिंहवद्) शत्रु के आत्मविश्वास को और अधिक तोड़ने का एक मनोवैज्ञानिक अस्त्र है। राक्षसों को लगा कि मकराक्ष के नेतृत्व में उन्होंने वानर सेना को परास्त कर दिया है। यह दृश्य अधर्म की क्षणिक विजय का चित्रण है, जो प्रायः सत्य के अंतिम प्रहार से पूर्व घटित होता है।
