रक्षाम् चैव विधास्यामि वानराद् रजनी चर ।
न आगमिष्यति ते दुह्खम् किम्चिद् आत्म अपराधजम् ॥६-८-५॥
rakṣāṃ caiva vidhāsyāmi vānarādrajanīcara । nāgamiṣyati te duḥkhaṃ kiṃcidātmāparādhajam ॥6-8-5॥
Translation
O Night-ranger, I will arrange protection from the monkeys. No sorrow born of your own negligence/fault will come to you.
हिंदी अनुवाद
हे रजनीचर! मैं वानरों से (आपकी) रक्षा करूँगा। अपनी (आपकी) असावधानी (अपराध) से उत्पन्न कोई भी दुःख आपके पास नहीं आएगा।
English Commentary
Guarantee of security. Prahasta assures Ravana that he will secure the perimeter against the Vanaras. He promises to mitigate the consequences of their past negligence ('atmaparadhajam'), framing himself as the ultimate shield of Lanka.

प्रहस्त सुरक्षा की गारंटी देता है। वह रावण को आश्वस्त करता है कि अब कोई चूक ('आत्मापराध') नहीं होगी। वह हनुमान की घटना को एक अपवाद (Exception) मानता है जो दोबारा नहीं होगी।
