अस्मिन् मुहूर्ते हत्वा एको निवर्तिष्यामि वानरान् ।
प्रविष्टान् सागरम् भीमम् अम्बरम् वा रसा तलम् ॥६-८-८॥
asmin muhūrte hatvaiko nivartayiṣyāmi vānarān । praviṣṭān sāgaraṃ bhīmamambaraṃ vā rasātalam ॥6-8-8॥
Translation
'Killing them alone at this very moment, I shall turn back/destroy the monkeys, even if they have entered the terrible ocean, the sky, or the netherworld.'
हिंदी अनुवाद
'मैं अकेला ही इस मुहूर्त में (जाकर) उन वानरों को मार डालूँगा, चाहे वे भयानक सागर, आकाश या रसातल में ही क्यों न घुस गए हों।'
English Commentary
The 'Solo' boast. Like Prahasta, Durmukha claims he can handle the threat single-handedly ('ekah'). He employs the standard trope of pursuing the enemy across all dimensions (sky, ocean, underworld) to emphasize his relentlessness.

अकेले लड़ने का दावा। दुर्मुख भी 'एकाकी' (अकेले) पूरी वानर सेना को खत्म करने का दंभ भरता है। वह तीनों लोकों (सागर, आकाश, पाताल) में उनका पीछा करने की बात करता है।
