स ददर्श महावीर्यो नागौ त्रिशिरसाविव ।
सृजन्ताविषुजालानि वीरौ वानरमध्यगौ ॥६-८०-२०॥
sa dadarśa mahāvīryo nāgau triśirasāviva |
sṛjantāviṣujālāni vīrau vānaramadhyagau ॥6-80-20॥
Translation
That warrior of great valor saw the two heroes amidst the monkeys, releasing nets of arrows, looking like two three-headed serpents.
हिंदी अनुवाद
उस महावीर्यवान (इन्द्रजीत) ने वानरों के मध्य स्थित, बाणों के समूह छोड़ते हुए उन दोनों वीरों (श्री राम-लक्ष्मण) को तीन फनों वाले दो सर्पों के समान देखा।
English Commentary
Indrajit was invisible in the sky, so he could clearly see Shri Rama and Lakshmana. Describing them as 'three-headed serpents' signifies their ferocity and invincibility. They stood amidst the monkeys as protectors, continuously raining arrows. This description of the heroes from the enemy's perspective serves as a praise of their valor.

इन्द्रजीत आकाश में अदृश्य था, इसलिए वह श्री राम-लक्ष्मण को स्पष्ट देख सकता था। श्री राम और लक्ष्मण को 'तीन फनों वाले सर्प' (नाग) के समान बताना उनकी भयंकरता और अजेयता को दर्शाता है। वे वानरों के रक्षक बनकर बीच में खड़े थे और निरंतर बाण वर्षा कर रहे थे। शत्रु की दृष्टि से नायक का यह वर्णन उनके शौर्य की प्रशंसा है।
