स रामं सूर्यसङ्काशैः शरैर्दत्तवरो भृशम् ।
विव्याध समरे क्रुद्धः सर्वगात्रेषु रावणिः ॥६-८०-२८॥
sa rāmaṃ sūryasaṅkāśaiḥ śarairdattavaro bhṛśam |
vivyādha samare kruddhaḥ sarvagātreṣu rāvaṇiḥ ॥6-80-28॥
Translation
The boon-empowered, angry son of Ravana pierced Shri Rama severely in all limbs with arrows shining like the sun.
हिंदी अनुवाद
वरदान प्राप्त उस क्रुद्ध रावणपुत्र ने युद्ध में सूर्य के समान चमकने वाले बाणों से श्री राम के सम्पूर्ण अंगों को अत्यधिक बींध डाला।
English Commentary
Due to Brahma's boon ('dattavaro'), Indrajit's arrows were unfailing. He targeted Lord Shri Rama and wounded his entire body. Observe the divine play of the Lord here—He who protects the creation allows Himself to be wounded by a demon to establish Dharma. This is a testament to Shri Rama's patience and endurance.

ब्रह्मा जी के वरदान ('दत्तवरो') के कारण इन्द्रजीत के बाण अचूक थे। उसने भगवान श्री राम को लक्ष्य बनाया और उनके सारे शरीर को घायल कर दिया। यहाँ भक्तवत्सल भगवान की लीला देखिए—जो सृष्टि के रक्षक हैं, वे धर्म की स्थापना के लिए एक असुर के हाथों घायल हो रहे हैं। यह श्री राम के धैर्य और सहनशीलता का प्रमाण है।
