लक्ष्मणस्तु सुसङ्क्रुद्धो भ्रातरं वाक्यमब्रवीत् ।
ब्राह्ममस्त्रं प्रयोक्ष्यामि वधार्थं सर्वरक्षसाम् ॥६-८०-३७॥
lakṣmaṇastu susaṅkruddho bhrātaraṃ vākyamabravīt |
brāhmamastraṃ prayokṣyāmi vadhārthaṃ sarvarakṣasām ॥6-80-37॥
Translation
Then, extremely enraged, Lakshmana spoke these words to his brother: 'I shall employ the Brahmastra for the destruction of all Rakshasas.'
हिंदी अनुवाद
तब अत्यंत क्रोधित होकर लक्ष्मण ने भाई (श्री राम) से यह वचन कहा—'मैं समस्त राक्षसों के वध के लिए ब्रह्मास्त्र का प्रयोग करूँगा।'
English Commentary
This is a pivotal moment in the Sarga. Pained by the death of monkeys and Indrajit's deceit, Lakshmana loses his patience. He proposes to wipe out 'all Rakshasas.' The Brahmastra was the nuclear equivalent of that age. Lakshmana's rage is so intense that he is ready to destroy an entire race for the sins of one enemy. This highlights his martial aggression typical of a warrior.

यह सर्ग का एक निर्णायक क्षण है। वानरों की मृत्यु और इन्द्रजीत के छल से आहत होकर, लक्ष्मण अपना संयम खो बैठते हैं। वे 'समस्त राक्षसों' (sarvarakṣasām) को मिटाने का प्रस्ताव रखते हैं। ब्रह्मास्त्र उस युग का परमाणु अस्त्र था। लक्ष्मण का क्रोध इतना तीव्र है कि वे एक शत्रु के पाप के लिए पूरी जाति का विनाश करने को तैयार हो जाते हैं। यह उनकी क्षत्रिय सुलभ उग्रता को दर्शाता है।
