सकृदेव समिद्धस्य विधूमस्य महार्चिषः ।
बभूवुस्तानि लिङ्गानि विजयं दर्शयन्ति च ॥६-८०-९॥
sakṛdeva samiddhasya vidhūmasya mahārciṣaḥ |
babhūvustāni liṅgāni vijayaṃ darśayanti ca ॥6-80-9॥
Translation
Signs indicative of victory appeared in that fire, which kindled all at once, was smokeless, and had great flames.

एक बार में ही प्रज्वलित, धुएं से रहित और विशाल लपटों वाली उस अग्नि में विजय को दर्शाने वाले वे शुभ लक्षण प्रकट हुए।
English Commentary
The fire igniting at once without smoke is a sign of success in tantric rituals. This verse creates tension for the reader—will unrighteousness prevail? Agni's positive response is a testament to Indrajit's austerity and adherence to procedural correctness (even if the intent was evil). It illustrates that nature and cosmic powers are impartial; they yield results to the practitioner based on their penance, whether they are divine or demonic.
