दुरात्मन्नात्मनाशाय केशपक्षे परामृशः ।
ब्रह्मर्षीणां कुले जातो राक्षसीं योनिमाश्रितः ॥६-८१-१९॥
durātmannātmanāśāya keśapakṣe parāmṛśaḥ |
brahmarṣīṇāṃ kule jāto rākṣasīṃ yonimāśritaḥ ॥6-81-19॥
Translation
O evil-souled one! You have touched her hair only for your own destruction. Born in the lineage of Brahmarshis (Pulastya), you have resorted to the nature of a Rakshasa.
हिंदी अनुवाद
हे दुरात्मा! तूने अपने विनाश के लिए ही (सीता के) बालों को हाथ लगाया है। तू ब्रह्मर्षियों (पुलस्त्य) के कुल में जन्मा है, (किंतु) राक्षसी योनि का आश्रय लिया है (राक्षस बन गया है)।
English Commentary
Hanuman taunts Indrajit by reminding him of his noble lineage (descendant of Pulastya) and contrasting it with his vile deeds. Insulting Sita will be the cause of the destruction of Ravana's clan.
हिंदी टीका
हनुमान जी इन्द्रजीत के उच्च कुल (पुलस्त्य ऋषि के वंशज) की याद दिलाकर उसके नीच कर्मों पर कटाक्ष करते हैं। सीता का अपमान ही रावण कुल के नाश का कारण बनेगा।
