शत्रूणां कदनं चक्रुर्नेदुश्च विविधैः स्वरैः ।
वानरैस्तैर्महावीर्यैर्घोररूपा निशाचराः ॥६-८२-१५॥

Translation

उन महावीर्यवान वानरों ने शत्रुओं का संहार किया और अनेक प्रकार के स्वरों में गर्जना की। उन वानरों द्वारा भयंकर रूप वाले निशाचर—
English Commentary
The roars of the Vanaras ('Neduh') and their destructive form began to re-instill fear in the Rakshasas. The mention of 'diverse sounds' reflects the enthusiasm and natural battle-frenzy of the monkeys. The Rakshasa army, initially emboldened by Indrajit's illusion, was now faltering before the genuine prowess of the Vanaras.

वानरों की गर्जना (नेदुः) और उनका संहारक रूप राक्षसों के मन में पुनः भय पैदा कर रहा था। 'वividhaih svaraih' (अनेक प्रकार की आवाजों) का उल्लेख वानरों के उत्साह और उनकी प्रकृति के अनुकूल युद्धोन्माद को दर्शाता है। राक्षसी सेना, जो इन्द्रजित की माया से उत्साहित थी, अब वानरों के वास्तविक पराक्रम के सामने लड़खड़ा रही थी।
