वीर्यादभिहता वृक्षैर्व्यवेष्टन्त रणाजिरे ।

English Commentary
The plight of the Rakshasas is described here. The word 'Vyaveshtanta' (writhing) brings to life the ferocity of the impact. Indrajit realized that his army was disintegrating. As a commander, he had to personally step forward to protect his forces. This verse illustrates a point in battle where leadership intervention becomes mandatory.

राक्षसों की दुर्दशा का यहाँ वर्णन है। 'व्यवेष्टन्त' (तड़पना) शब्द प्रहार की भीषणता को सजीव कर देता है। इन्द्रजित ने अनुभव किया कि उसकी सेना अब बिखर रही है। एक सेनापति के रूप में उसे अपनी सेना की रक्षा के लिए स्वयं आगे आना पड़ा। यह श्लोक युद्ध के उस मोड़ को दर्शाता है जहाँ नेतृत्व को व्यक्तिगत रूप से हस्तक्षेप करना अनिवार्य हो जाता है।
