Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
हनुमान् कदनं चक्रे रक्षसां भीमकर्मणाम् ।
स निवार्य परानीकमब्रवीत्तान् वनौकसः ॥६-८२-२०॥
hanumān kadanaṃ cakre rakṣasāṃ bhīmakarmaṇām |
sa nivārya parānīkamabravīttān vanaukasaḥ ॥6-82-20॥
Translation
Hanuman conducted a slaughter of those Rakshasas of terrifying deeds. Having checked the enemy host, He spoke to those forest-dwellers (Vanaras).
हिंदी अनुवाद
भयंकर कर्म करने वाले उन राक्षसों का हनुमान जी ने संहार किया। शत्रु सेना को रोककर उन्होंने उन वनवासियों (वानरों) से यह कहा।
English Commentary
Shri Hanuman plays a decisive role here. He is not just fighting but constantly assessing the situation. The word 'Nivarya' (having restrained) indicates He had halted the momentum of the Rakshasa host. He is now poised to give His comrades a critical piece of information (regarding the perceived death of Sita). This dialogue is set to alter the course of the battle.

श्री हनुमान जी यहाँ एक निर्णायक भूमिका निभा रहे हैं। वे केवल लड़ नहीं रहे, बल्कि स्थिति का निरंतर आकलन भी कर रहे हैं। 'निवार्य' (रोककर) शब्द यह बताता है कि उन्होंने राक्षसी सेना के वेग को थाम लिया था। अब वे अपने साथियों को एक अत्यंत महत्वपूर्ण और गुप्त सूचना (सीता जी के वध के विषय में) देने जा रहे हैं। उनका यह संवाद युद्ध की दिशा बदलने वाला है।
