यन्निमित्तं हि युद्ध्यामो हता सा जनकात्मजा ।
इममर्थं हि विज्ञाप्य रामं सुग्रीवमेव च ॥६-८२-२२॥
yannimittaṃ hi yuddhyāmo hatā sā janakātmajā |
imamarthaṃ hi vijñāpya rāmaṃ sugrīvameva ca ॥6-82-22॥
Translation
The daughter of Janaka, for whose sake we are fighting, has been killed. We must report this matter to Shri Rama and Sugriva.
हिंदी अनुवाद
जिसके कारण हम यह युद्ध कर रहे हैं, वह जनकपुत्री सीता मारी जा चुकी हैं। यह बात हमें श्री राम और सुग्रीव को बतानी चाहिए।
English Commentary
Shri Hanuman is completely deluded by the spectacle of the 'Maya Sita.' This was Indrajit's psychological triumph. He believes the motive ('Nimittam') for the war is gone. The word 'Vijnapya' (to inform) shows His discipline; He deems it proper to inform His masters rather than taking an independent decision. It also reveals His profound grief and helplessness.

हनुमान जी यहाँ 'माया सीता' के दृश्य से पूरी तरह भ्रमित हो गए हैं। यह इन्द्रजित की मनोवैज्ञानिक विजय थी। वे मानते हैं कि युद्ध का कारण (निमित्तम्) अब समाप्त हो गया है। 'विज्ञाप्य' (सूचित करना) शब्द उनके अनुशासन को दर्शाता है कि वे स्वयं कोई निर्णय लेने के बजाय अपने स्वामियों को सूचना देना उचित समझते हैं। यह उनके गहरे शोक और विवशता को भी प्रकट करता है।
