स राक्षसानां कदनं चकार सुमहाकपिः ।
वृतो वानरसैन्येन कालान्तकयमोपमः ॥६-८२-८॥
sa rākṣasānāṃ kadanaṃ cakāra sumahākapiḥ |
vṛto vānarasainyena kālāntakayamopamaḥ ॥6-82-8॥
Translation
Surrounded by the Vanara host, the great monkey Hanuman carried out a slaughter of the Rakshasas like the God of Death (Yama) at the end of time.
हिंदी अनुवाद
वानर सेना से घिरे हुए उन महाकपि हनुमान जी ने राक्षसों का वैसा ही संहार किया, जैसे प्रलयकाल में साक्षात् यमराज करते हैं।
English Commentary
Shri Hanuman is likened here to 'Kalantakayama' (the God of Death at the end of time). This reinforces His infallible destructive impact. For the Rakshasas, He had become like Death from which escape was impossible. The word 'Kadanam' (massacre) describes the horror of the battlefield where Shri Hanuman was uprooting the supporters of unrighteousness. This form was destined to strike ultimate terror into the hearts of His enemies.

यहाँ श्री हनुमान जी को 'कालान्तकयम' (प्रलय के यमराज) की उपमा दी गई है। यह उनके अमोघ संहारक प्रभाव को पुष्ट करता है। राक्षसों के लिए वे उस काल के समान बन गए थे जिससे बच निकलना असंभव था। 'कदनम्' (भारी संहार) शब्द रणभूमि की उस विभीषिका को दर्शाता है जहाँ श्री हनुमान जी अधर्म के समर्थकों का समूल नाश कर रहे थे। उनका यह रूप शत्रुओं के हृदय में महाभय पैदा करने वाला था।
