स तु कोपेन चाविष्टः शोकेन च महाकपिः ।
हनुमान् रावणिरथे ऽपातयन्महतीं शिलाम् ॥६-८२-९॥
sa tu kopena cāviṣṭaḥ śokena ca mahākapiḥ |
hanumān rāvaṇirathe 'pātayanmahatīṃ śilām ॥6-82-9॥
Translation
Filled with both anger and grief, the great monkey Hanuman hurled a massive rock at the chariot of Indrajit (the son of Ravana).
हिंदी अनुवाद
क्रोध और शोक से भरे हुए महाकपि हनुमान जी ने इन्द्रजित (रावणि) के रथ पर एक बहुत बड़ी शिला दे मारी।
English Commentary
There is a conflict of two emotions in Shri Hanuman's heart—'shoka' (grief) for Sita's perceived death and 'kopa' (anger) toward the sinful Indrajit. This strike was the result of His mental agony. He aimed to hit the very center of the enemy's operation—his chariot. Hurling a massive rock showcases His immense physical power. The duel has now turned into a struggle of personal retribution and the protection of Dharma.

श्री हनुमान जी के हृदय में दो भावों का द्वंद्व है—सीता जी के वध का 'शोक' और पापी इन्द्रजित के प्रति 'क्रोध'। यह प्रहार उनके इसी मानसिक संताप का परिणाम था। वे सीधे शत्रु के केंद्र (रथ) पर प्रहार करना चाहते थे। एक विशाल शिला का फेंकना उनके प्रचंड बाहुबल को दर्शाता है। यह द्वंद्व अब व्यक्तिगत प्रतिशोध और धर्म की रक्षा के संघर्ष में बदल गया है।
