तस्य तद्वचनं श्रुत्वा राघवः शोकमूर्च्छितः ।
निपपात तदा भूमौ छिन्नमूल इव द्रुमः ॥६-८३-१०॥
tasya tadvacanaṃ śrutvā rāghavaḥ śokamūrcchitaḥ |
nipapāta tadā bhūmau chinnamūla iva drumaḥ ॥6-83-10॥
Translation
Hearing those words, Shri Rama was overwhelmed with grief and fainted; He immediately fell to the ground like a tree cut at its root.
हिंदी अनुवाद
हनुमान जी के उन वचनों को सुनकर श्री रघुनाथ जी शोक से मूर्छित हो गए और जड़ से कटे हुए वृक्ष के समान तुरंत भूमि पर गिर पड़े।
English Commentary
Shri Rama's fainting manifests His profound love for Sita and represents the peak of His human play. The metaphor of a 'tree cut at its root' signifies that Sita was the very foundation of His life. When the foundation was seemingly lost, the collapse of the body was inevitable. This scene is a symbol of cosmic grief, where the Supreme Being appears devastated by the report of His devotee.
हिंदी टीका
श्री राम का मूर्छित होना उनके सीता जी के प्रति अगाध प्रेम और उनकी मानवीय लीला की पराकाष्ठा है। 'छिन्नमूलः द्रुमः' (जड़ से कटा वृक्ष) की उपमा यह दर्शाती है कि सीता जी उनके जीवन का आधार थीं। जब आधार ही नष्ट हो गया, तो शरीर का गिरना स्वाभाविक था। यह दृश्य ब्रह्मांडीय शोक का प्रतीक है, जहाँ साक्षात् परब्रह्म अपने भक्त के विलाप पर विदीर्ण हो रहे हैं।
