असिञ्चन् सलिलैश्चैनं पद्मोत्पलसुगन्धिभिः ।
प्रदहन्तमनासाद्यं सहसा ऽग्निमिवोच्छिखम् ॥६-८३-१२॥
asiñcan salilaiścainaṃ padmotpalasugandhibhiḥ |
pradahantamānāsādyaṃ sahasā 'gnimivocchikham ॥6-83-12॥
Translation
Those monkeys sprinkled Him with water fragrant with the scent of lotuses and lilies, who was like a suddenly blazed and unapproachable fire with rising flames.
हिंदी अनुवाद
वे वानर कमलों और उत्पलों की सुगंध से युक्त जल से उन्हें सींचने लगे, जो अचानक प्रज्वलित हुई उस भयंकर अग्नि के समान लग रहे थे जिसे कोई छू न सके।
English Commentary
Shri Rama's grief is compared to a blazing fire here. It represents the intensity of sorrow radiating from His divine form as heat. The use of fragrant water was a physical attempt to restore His consciousness. This verse underscores the gravity of the situation, where the sorrow of the Supreme Being is capable of scorching the entire creation.

श्री राम का शोक यहाँ 'अग्नि' के समान बताया गया है। यह शोक की वह प्रचंडता है जो उनके दिव्य शरीर से एक ताप के रूप में निकल रही थी। सुगंधित जल का प्रयोग उनकी चेतना वापस लाने का एक भौतिक प्रयास था। यह श्लोक स्थिति की गम्भीरता को दर्शाता है, जहाँ परब्रह्म का दुःख सम्पूर्ण सृष्टि को तपा देने वाला है।
