अदृष्टप्रतिकारेण त्वव्यक्तेनासता सता ।
कथं शक्यं परं प्राप्तुं धर्मेणारिविकर्शन ॥६-८३-२४॥
adṛṣṭapratikāreṇa tvavyaktenāsatā satā |
kathaṃ śakyaṃ paraṃ prāptuṃ dharmeṇārivikarṣana ॥6-83-24॥
Translation
O crusher of foes! How can the supreme goal (or victory) be attained through this invisible, unmanifest, and non-existent/existent Dharma?
हिंदी अनुवाद
हे शत्रुओं को दुर्बल करने वाले! उस अदृश्य, अव्यक्त और संदेहास्पद धर्म के द्वारा परम पद (या विजय) कैसे प्राप्त की जा सकती है?
English Commentary
Shri Lakshmana questions the 'impracticality' of Dharma in this context. To him, at this moment, the prowess of weapons is the only tangible truth. He urges Shri Rama toward 'concrete' warfare instead of 'abstract' Dharma. It is the cry of a practical warrior who demands results, not just sermons.

लक्ष्मण जी यहाँ धर्म की 'अव्यवहारिकता' पर प्रश्न उठा रहे हैं। उनके लिए इस समय शस्त्रों का पराक्रम ही प्रत्यक्ष सत्य है। वे श्री राम को 'अमूर्त' धर्म के स्थान पर 'मूर्त' युद्ध के लिए प्रेरित कर रहे हैं। यह एक व्यावहारिक योद्धा की पुकार है जो परिणाम चाहता है, केवल प्रवचन नहीं।
