अर्थेभ्यो हि विवृद्धेभ्यः संवृत्तेभ्यस्ततस्ततः ।
क्रियाः सर्वाः प्रवर्तन्ते पर्वतेभ्य इवापगाः ॥६-८३-३२॥
arthebhyo hi vivṛddhebhyaḥ saṃvṛttebhyastatastathaḥ |
kriyāḥ sarvāḥ pravartante parvatebhya ivāpagāḥ ॥6-83-32॥
Translation
Just as rivers flow from mountains, all actions and religious deeds proceed from accumulated 'Artha' (wealth and power).
हिंदी अनुवाद
जैसे पर्वतों से नदियाँ निकलती हैं, वैसे ही बढ़े हुए 'अर्थ' (धन और शक्ति) से ही सभी शुभ क्रियाएँ और धर्म के कार्य संपन्न होते हैं।
English Commentary
This verse contains a beautiful description of the importance of 'Artha' (wealth/power). The analogy of the mountain and the river shows that power is the foundation of Dharma. Without resources and authority, no great mission can be accomplished. Shri Lakshmana is explaining the necessity of accumulating and exercising power to Shri Rama.

यहाँ 'अर्थ' (Artha) की महत्ता का सुंदर वर्णन है। पर्वत और नदी की उपमा यह दर्शाती है कि शक्ति ही धर्म का आधार है। बिना संसाधनों और सत्ता के, कोई भी महान कार्य सिद्ध नहीं किया जा सकता। लक्ष्मण जी श्री राम को शक्ति संचय और उसके प्रयोग की महत्ता समझा रहे हैं।
