Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
यस्यार्थाः स च विक्रान्तो यस्यार्थाः स च बुद्धिमान् ।
यस्यार्थाः स महाभागो यस्यार्थाः स महागुणः ॥६-८३-३६॥
yasyārthāḥ sa ca vikrānto yasyārthāḥ sa ca buddhimān |
yasyārthāḥ sa mahābhāgo yasyārthāḥ sa mahāguṇaḥ ॥6-83-36॥
Translation
He who has power is indeed valiant and he alone is intelligent. He is considered fortunate and endowed with great virtues who possesses capability.
हिंदी अनुवाद
जिसके पास शक्ति है, वही पराक्रमी है और वही बुद्धिमान है। वही भाग्यशाली और महान गुणों वाला माना जाता है जिसके पास 'अर्थ' (सामर्थ्य) है।
English Commentary
Shri Lakshmana positions 'Power' as the center of all virtues. He argues that without capability, virtues hold no practical value. He reminds Shri Rama that the power of the entire cosmos resides within Him, and thus He should not act like an ordinary, sorrowful mortal.
हिंदी टीका
लक्ष्मण जी 'शक्ति' को सभी सद्गुणों का केंद्र मान रहे हैं। उनका तर्क है कि बिना सामर्थ्य के गुणों का कोई मूल्य नहीं है। वे श्री राम को यह याद दिला रहे हैं कि उनके भीतर सम्पूर्ण ब्रह्मांड की शक्ति निहित है, अतः उन्हें एक साधारण दुखी मनुष्य की भांति व्यवहार नहीं करना चाहिए।
