Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
अयमनघ तवोदितः प्रियार्थं जनकसुतानिधनं निरीक्ष्य रुष्टः ।
सहयगजरथां सराक्षसेन्द्रां भृशमिषुभिर्विनिपातयामि लङ्काम् ॥६-८३-४४॥
ayamanagha tavoditaḥ priyārthaṃ janakasutānidhanaṃ nirīkṣya ruṣṭaḥ |
sahayagajarathāṃ sarākṣasendrāṃ bhṛśamiṣubhirvinipātayāmi laṅkām ॥6-83-44॥
Translation
O sinless one! For Your sake, enraged by the sight of the daughter of Janaka's slaughter, I shall today level all of Lanka—along with its horses, elephants, chariots, and the Rakshasa king—to the ground with my arrows.
हिंदी अनुवाद
हे निष्पाप श्री राम! आपकी प्रसन्नता के लिए, जानकी के वध को देख क्रोधित हुआ मैं, आज हाथियों, घोड़ों, रथों और राक्षसराज सहित इस पूरी लंका को अपने बाणों से धूल में मिला दूँगा।
English Commentary
The sarga concludes with Shri Lakshmana's grand vow. Addressing Shri Rama as 'Anagha' (sinless) affirms His purity. Lakshmana's rage is consecrated for the protection of Dharma. He vows to destroy all of Lanka, proving His indomitable valor and His boundless devotion to Shri Rama. These words are destined to reignite the martial fervor of the Vanara army.

सर्ग का समापन लक्ष्मण जी के महा-संकल्प के साथ होता है। वे श्री राम को 'अनघ' (निष्पाप) कहकर उनकी पवित्रता की पुष्टि करते हैं। उनका क्रोध धर्म की रक्षा के लिए है। वे पूरी लंका को नष्ट करने की प्रतिज्ञा करते हैं, जो उनके अदम्य शौर्य और श्री राम के प्रति उनकी अगाध भक्ति का प्रमाण है। यह वचन वानर सेना में पुनः युद्ध का उत्साह भरने वाले हैं।
