राममाश्वासयाने तु लक्ष्मणे भ्रातृवत्सले ।
निक्षिप्य गुल्मान् स्वस्थाने तत्रागच्छद्विभीषणः ॥६-८४-१॥
rāmamāśvāsayāne tu lakṣmaṇe bhrātṛvatsale |
nikṣipya gulmān svasthāne tatrāgacchadvibhīṣaṇaḥ ॥6-84-1॥
Translation
While the brother-loving Lakshmana was comforting Shri Rama, Vibhishana arrived there after positioning the military outposts in their respective places.
हिंदी अनुवाद
जब भाइयों के प्रति अत्यंत प्रेम रखने वाले श्री लक्ष्मण श्री राम को सांत्वना दे रहे थे, तब विभीषण अपनी सेना की चौकियों को उनके निश्चित स्थानों पर तैनात करके वहाँ पहुँचे।
English Commentary
This verse presents Vibhishana as a highly disciplined and responsible military leader. Despite his deep devotion to Shri Rama, he does not let his emotions override his strategic duties. Even amidst the chaos, he first ensures that the military detachments ('Gulma') are properly stationed before approaching his Lord. It highlights the importance of organization and vigilance in leadership. Lakshmana's description as 'Bhratruvatsala' (loving toward His brother) emphasizes the profound bond He shares with Shri Rama, making the Lord's grief His own.

यहाँ विभीषण जी के एक अत्यंत कुशल और उत्तरदायी सेनापति होने का प्रमाण मिलता है। यद्यपि वे श्री राम के प्रति अनन्य भक्ति रखते हैं, किन्तु उन्होंने अपने भावनाओं को कर्तव्य से ऊपर नहीं रखा। रणभूमि में हाहाकार मचा होने के बावजूद उन्होंने पहले अपनी सैन्य व्यवस्था (गुल्म) को सुरक्षित किया और फिर अपने स्वामी के पास पहुँचे। यह श्लोक संगठन और अनुशासन की महत्ता को दर्शाता है। श्री लक्ष्मण जी का यहाँ 'भ्रातृवत्सल' होना उनके उस अगाध प्रेम को सूचित करता है जो श्री राम के दुःख को अपना बना लेता है।
