लक्ष्मणं प्रेषयास्माभिः सह सैन्यानुकर्षिभिः ।
एष तं नरशार्दूलो रावणिं निशितैः शरैः ॥६-८४-१८॥
lakṣmaṇaṃ preṣayāsmābhiḥ saha sainyānukarṣibhiḥ |
eṣa taṃ naraśārdūlo rāvaṇiṃ niśitaiḥ śaraiḥ ॥6-84-18॥
Translation
Send Lakshmana along with us and our supporting forces. This tiger among men, Lakshmana, with His sharp arrows, (will stop) that son of Ravana—

आप हमारी मुख्य सेना के साथ लक्ष्मण जी को भेजिये। पुरुषों में सिंह के समान ये लक्ष्मण अपने तीखे बाणों से उस रावण-पुत्र (इन्द्रजित) को—
English Commentary
Vibhishana proposes a specific tactical plan. Recognizing that Shri Rama requires time to regain His mental composure, he suggests that Lakshmana take the lead. The epithet 'Narashardula' signifies Shri Lakshmana's fierce power, which is capable of shattering Indrajit's illusions. This represents an appropriate delegation of authority, essential for any grand military campaign.

विभीषण जी यहाँ एक विशिष्ट सामरिक योजना प्रस्तुत कर रहे हैं। वे जानते हैं कि श्री राम को अभी विश्श्री राम और मानसिक स्थिरता की आवश्यकता है, अतः वे श्री लक्ष्मण जी को नेतृत्व सौंपने का सुझाव देते हैं। 'नराशार्दूल' विशेषण यहाँ श्री लक्ष्मण की उस भयंकर शक्ति को सूचित करता है जो इन्द्रजित की माया को काटने में समर्थ है। यह कार्य का समुचित विभाजन (Delegation) है जो एक बड़े युद्ध अभियान के लिए आवश्यक है।
