त्याजयिष्यति तत् कर्म ततो वध्यो भविष्यति ।
तस्यैते निशितास्तीक्ष्णाः पत्रिपत्राङ्गवाजिनः ॥६-८४-१९॥
tyājayiṣyati tat karma tato vadhyo bhaviṣyati |
tasyaite niśitāstīkṣṇāḥ patripatrāṅgavājinaḥ ॥6-84-19॥
Translation
Will make him abandon that ritual, and then he will become vulnerable to be slain. These sharp, well-feathered, and swift arrows of Lakshmana—

उस (यज्ञ के) कर्म को बीच में ही छुड़वा देंगे और तब वह वध करने योग्य हो जाएगा। लक्ष्मण के ये तीक्ष्ण, सुंदर पंखों वाले और तीव्र गति वाले बाण—
English Commentary
Interrupting the sacrifice is not an unrighteous act here, but a strategy to prevent a greater evil. Vibhishana knows Indrajit is invincible only as long as he completes his oblation. The word 'Tyajayishyati' (will make him abandon) refers to the strategic intervention that would sever the enemy's source of power. The lethal proficiency of Shri Lakshmana's arrows is presented as the foundation for the ultimate victory.

यज्ञ में बाधा डालना यहाँ अधर्म नहीं, बल्कि एक और बड़े अधर्म को रोकने की नीति है। विभीषण जी जानते हैं कि इन्द्रजित तभी तक अजेय है जब तक वह अपना होम पूरा नहीं कर लेता। 'त्याजयिष्यति' (त्याग करवा देंगे) शब्द उस रणनीतिक हस्तक्षेप की ओर संकेत करता है जो शत्रु की शक्ति के स्रोत को ही नष्ट कर देगा। श्री लक्ष्मण के बाणों की मारक क्षमता यहाँ अंतिम विजय के विश्वास के रूप में प्रस्तुत की गई है।
