मनुजवर न कालविप्रकर्षो रिपुनिधनं प्रति यत् क्षमो ऽद्य कर्तुम् ।
त्वमति सृज रिपोर्वधाय वाणीममररिपोर्मथने यथा महेन्द्रः ॥६-८४-२१॥
manujavara na kālaviprakarṣo ripunidhanaṃ prati yat kṣamo 'dya kartum |
tvamati sṛja riporvadhāya vāṇīmamara ripor mathane yathā mahendraḥ ॥6-84-21॥
Translation
O best of men! It is not appropriate to delay the destruction of the enemy any further. Release Your word (command) for the slaying of that foe, just as Indra does for the destruction of the enemies of the immortals.
हिंदी अनुवाद
हे मनुष्यों में श्रेष्ठ! शत्रु के वध के लिए अब समय गँवाना उचित नहीं है। आप उस देव-शत्रु (इन्द्रजित) के विनाश के लिए अपनी वाणी से वैसे ही आज्ञा दीजिये, जैसे इन्द्र उपदेश देते हैं।
English Commentary
Vibhishana warns against 'Kala-viprakarshah' (the protraction of time/delay). In warfare, timing is of paramount importance. He urges Shri Rama to act like a sovereign and issue the final decree. 'Release Your word' means providing the definitive command that will shape the course of the battle. This verse emphasizes the decisive power of leadership which is most required during a crisis.

विभीषण जी यहाँ 'काल-विप्रकर्षः' (समय की देरी) के प्रति सचेत कर रहे हैं। युद्ध में 'मुहूर्त' का बड़ा महत्व होता है। वे श्री राम को एक सम्राट की भांति निर्णय लेने के लिए प्रेरित कर रहे हैं। 'वाणीं विसृज' का अर्थ है वह अंतिम आदेश देना जो युद्ध की दिशा निर्धारित करेगा। यह श्लोक नेतृत्व की उस निर्णयात्मक शक्ति (Decision-making power) पर बल देता है जो संकट के समय सबसे अधिक आवश्यक होती है।
