समाप्तकर्मा हि स राक्षसाधिपो भवत्यदृस्यः समरे सुरासुरैः ।
युयुत्सता तेन समाप्तकर्मणा भवेत् सुराणामपि संशयो महान् ॥६-८४-२२॥
samāptakarmā hi sa rākṣasādhipo bhavatyadṛsyaḥ samare surāsuraiḥ |
yuyutsatā tena samāptakarmaṇā bhavet surāṇāmapi saṃśayo mahān ॥6-84-22॥
Translation
Indeed, if that Rakshasa chief completes his ritual, he becomes invisible to both Gods and Demons in battle. Fighting him after the completion of his task would cause great doubt even regarding the victory of the Gods.
हिंदी अनुवाद
यदि वह राक्षसराज (इन्द्रजित) अपना यज्ञ कर्म समाप्त कर लेता है, तो वह युद्ध में देवताओं और असुरों के लिए भी अदृश्य हो जाएगा। तब उस अजेय योद्धा से युद्ध करने पर स्वयं देवताओं की विजय पर भी महान संदेह उत्पन्न हो जाएगा।
English Commentary
The sarga concludes with a grave warning. Indrajit's power of invisibility was his greatest tactical advantage. The phrase 'Samshayo Mahan' (great doubt) indicates that if he completes the ritual, victory might slip away from the side of Dharma. This verse underscores the horror of the Nikumbhila sacrifice and the absolute necessity of interrupting it. Vibhishana's strategic foresight is what will eventually save the Vanara army from a certain defeat.

सर्ग का समापन एक गम्भीर चेतावनी के साथ होता है। इन्द्रजित की 'अदृश्य' होने की शक्ति उसकी सबसे बड़ी सामरिक शक्ति थी। 'संशयो महान्' (बड़ा संदेह) शब्द यह बताते हैं कि यदि उसने यज्ञ पूरा कर लिया, तो विजय धर्म के पक्ष से दूर जा सकती है। यह श्लोक उस निकुम्भिला यज्ञ की भयावहता और उसे रोकने की अनिवार्यता को सिद्ध करता है। विभीषण की यह दूरदर्शिता ही वानर सेना को एक निश्चित पराजय से बचाने वाली है।
