राघवं च महात्मानमिक्ष्वाकुकुलनन्दनम् ।
ददर्श मोहमापन्नं लक्ष्मणस्याङ्कमाश्रितम् ॥६-८४-४॥
rāghavaṃ ca mahātmānamikṣvāku kulanandanam |
dadarśa mohamāpannaṃ lakṣmaṇasyāṅkamāśritam ॥6-84-4॥
Translation
He beheld the high-souled Shri Rama, the delight of the Ikshvaku race, fallen into a swoon and resting in the lap of Lakshmana.
हिंदी अनुवाद
उन्होंने देखा कि इक्ष्वाकु कुल को आनंदित करने वाले महात्मा श्री रघुनाथ जी मूर्छित होकर लक्ष्मण जी की गोद में पड़े हैं।
English Commentary
This is a deeply moving scene where the 'Delight of the Ikshvaku race' Himself lies foundationless upon the ground. Shri Rama's swoon in Lakshmana's lap highlights their unbreakable fraternal bond and His current state of perceived helplessness. For Vibhishana, this sight was both astonishing and painful. This verse illustrates the aspect of the Lord's 'Nara-Leela' where His human emotions are so profound that He succumbs to a swoon, momentarily losing the distinction between Truth and Maya.

यह दृश्य अत्यंत मर्मस्पर्शी है जहाँ 'इक्ष्वाकुकुलनन्दन' (कुल का आनंद बढ़ाने वाले) स्वयं निराधार होकर पृथ्वी पर पड़े हैं। श्री राम का श्री लक्ष्मण की गोद में मूर्छित होना उनके अटूट भ्रातृ-प्रेम और उनकी वर्तमान असहाय अवस्था को दर्शाता है। विभीषण जी के लिए यह दृश्य विस्मयकारी और पीड़ादायक था। यह श्लोक प्रभु की 'नर-लीला' के उस पक्ष को उजागर करता है जहाँ वे प्रेमवश इतने कोमल हो जाते हैं कि सत्य और माया के भेद को भुलाकर मूर्च्छा को प्राप्त होते हैं।
