मनुजेन्द्रार्तरूपेण यदुक्तं च हनूमता ।
तदयुक्तमहं मन्ये सागरस्येव शोषणम् ॥६-८४-९॥
manujendrārtarūpeṇa yaduktaṃ ca hanūmatā |
tadayuktammahaṃ manye sāgarasyeva śoṣaṇam ॥6-84-9॥
Translation
O Lord of men! What has been said by Hanuman in His distressed state, I consider it to be as impossible and illogical as the drying up of the ocean.
हिंदी अनुवाद
हे मनुष्यों के स्वामी! हनुमान जी ने अत्यंत दुखी होकर जो कुछ कहा है, उसे मैं वैसे ही असंभव (अयुक्त) मानता हूँ जैसे समुद्र का सूख जाना।
English Commentary
Vibhishana subjects Hanuman's report to the test of logic. By using the analogy of the ocean drying up, he asserts that the slaughter of Sita is fundamentally impossible as it contradicts Ravana's own objectives. The word 'Ayuktam' (illogical/impossible) is the first hint toward Indrajit's deception. This confidence stems from Vibhishana's intimate understanding of Lanka's internal politics and Ravana's character.

विभीषण जी यहाँ हनुमान जी के देखे हुए दृश्य को तर्क की कसौटी पर परख रहे हैं। वे समुद्र के सूखने की उपमा देकर यह सिद्ध करते हैं कि सीता जी का वध रावण के लिए आत्मघाती होगा और वह ऐसा कभी नहीं करेगा। 'अयुक्तम्' (अनुचित/असंभव) शब्द इन्द्रजित के छल की ओर प्रथम संकेत है। विभीषण का यह आत्मविश्वास लंका की आंतरिक राजनीति और रावण के चरित्र की उनकी गहरी समझ से उपजा है।
