अभिज्ञस्तस्य देशस्य पृष्ठतो ऽनुगमिष्यति ।
राघवस्य वचः श्रुत्वा लक्ष्मणः सविभीषणः ॥६-८५-२४॥
abhijñastasya deśasya pṛṣṭhato 'nugamiṣyati |
rāghavasya vacaḥ śrutvā lakṣmaṇaḥ savibhīṣaṇaḥ ॥6-85-24॥
Translation
Will follow behind You, as he is well-acquainted with that region.' Hearing the words of Shri Rama, Lakshmana along with Vibhishana—

उस स्थान के ज्ञाता होने के कारण तुम्हारे पीछे-पीछे चलेंगे। श्री रघुनाथ जी के वचनों को सुनकर विभीषण सहित लक्ष्मण ने—
English Commentary
Vibhishana assumes the role of a guide here. The word 'Abhijnah' signifies his intimate local knowledge. Upon receiving Shri Rama's command, Lakshmana and Vibhishana instantly move into action. This verse is the final point of transition from tactical planning to active execution.

विभीषण जी यहाँ 'गाइड' (मार्गदर्शक) की भूमिका में हैं। 'अभिज्ञः' शब्द उनके स्थानीय ज्ञान को सूचित करता है। श्री राम की आज्ञा मिलते ही लक्ष्मण जी और विभीषण जी सक्रिय हो जाते हैं। यह श्लोक युद्ध की योजना से क्रियान्वयन की ओर संक्रमण का अंतिम बिंदु है।
