लङ्कामभिपतिष्यन्ति हंसाः पुष्करिणीमिव ।
अद्यैव तस्य रौद्रस्य शरीरं मामकाः शराः ॥६-८५-२७॥
laṅkāmabhipatiṣyanti haṃsāḥ puṣkariṇīmiva |
adyaiva tasya raudrasya śarīraṃ māmakāḥ śarāḥ ॥6-85-27॥

लंका में वैसे ही गिरेंगे, जैसे हंस सरोवर में उतरते हैं। आज ही मेरे बाण उस भयंकर राक्षस के शरीर को—
English Commentary
The analogy of swans and a pond depicts the ease and grace of His arrows' trajectory. Just as swans descend effortlessly into water, Lakshmana's shafts will pierce Indrajit's body and Lanka's defenses. This testifies to His invincible self-confidence and the superiority of His martial skill.

हंस और सरोवर की उपमा बाणों की गति और सहजता को दर्शाती है। जैसे हंस बिना किसी प्रयास के जल में उतरते हैं, वैसे ही लक्ष्मण जी के बाण इन्द्रजित के शरीर और लंका की रक्षा पंक्ति को भेद देंगे। यह उनके अजेय आत्मविश्वास और अस्त्र-विद्या की श्रेष्ठता का प्रमाण है।
