निकुम्भिलामभिययौ चैत्यं रावणिपालितम् ।
विभीषणेन सहितो राजपुत्रः प्रतापवान् ॥६-८५-३०॥
nikumbhilāmabhiyayau caityaṃ rāvaṇipālitam |
vibhīṣaṇena sahito rājaputraḥ pratāpavān ॥6-85-30॥
Translation
That illustrious Prince Lakshmana, along with Vibhishana, proceeded toward the sacrificial grove of Nikumbhila, guarded by the son of Ravana.
हिंदी अनुवाद
वे प्रतापी राजकुमार लक्ष्मण, विभीषण के साथ इन्द्रजित द्वारा रक्षित निकुम्भिला नामक यज्ञ-स्थल की ओर बढ़े।
English Commentary
The joint mission of Lakshmana and Vibhishana represents the union of Dharma and strategic insight. The path to Nikumbhila was secret and heavily guarded, accessible only through Vibhishana's assistance. The 'illustrious' Lakshmana was now heading to the very source where unrighteousness was drawing its power, aiming to destroy evil at its root.

लक्ष्मण जी और विभीषण जी का यह संयुक्त अभियान धर्म और कूटनीति का मिलन है। निकुम्भिला का मार्ग अत्यंत गुप्त और सुरक्षित था, जहाँ पहुँचना केवल विभीषण के सहयोग से ही संभव था। 'प्रतापवान्' लक्ष्मण जी अब उस स्थान की ओर जा रहे थे जहाँ से अधर्म अपनी शक्ति प्राप्त कर रहा था। यह बुराई को उसकी जड़ में ही नष्ट करने का प्रयास है।
