Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
कृतस्वस्त्ययनो भ्रात्रा लक्ष्मणस्त्वरितो ययौ ।
वानराणां सहस्रैस्तु हनुमान् बहुभिर्वृतः ॥६-८५-३१॥
kṛtasvastyayano bhrātrā lakṣmaṇastvarito yayau |
vānarāṇāṃ sahasraistu hanumān bahubhirvṛtaḥ ॥6-85-31॥
Translation
Having been offered blessings for success by His brother, Lakshmana hurried away. Hanuman too followed, surrounded by thousands of monkeys.
हिंदी अनुवाद
भाई (श्री राम) द्वारा मंगल-कामना (स्वस्त्ययन) किए जाने पर लक्ष्मण शीघ्रता से चल दिए। हनुमान जी भी हजारों वानरों से घिरे हुए (उनके साथ चले)।
English Commentary
'Svastyayanam' refers to the rituals or words that ensure well-being and victory. Shri Rama's blessings acted as an impenetrable shield for Lakshmana. Hanuman's presence effectively doubles Lakshmana's might. The host of thousands of Vanaras surged toward Nikumbhila like an unstoppable tide.

'स्वस्त्ययनम्' का अर्थ है वह अनुष्ठान या वाणी जो कल्याण और विजय सुनिश्चित करे। श्री राम की मंगल-कामना लक्ष्मण जी के लिए अभेद्य कवच थी। हनुमान जी का साथ होना लक्ष्मण जी के बल को दोगुना कर देता है। हजारों वानरों का समूह एक प्रचंड लहर की भांति निकुम्भिला की ओर बढ़ रहा था।
