English Commentary
Vibhishana lists the causes of Ravana's doom: 1. Stealing wealth, 2. Adultery, 3. Suspicion of friends. Ravana suspected Vibhishana (a well-wisher) and exiled him. Furthermore, killing sages and enmity with gods filled his cup of sins. Vibhishana logically explains why he defected.

विभीषण रावण के विनाश के कारणों को गिना रहे हैं। 1. पर-धन हरण, 2. पर-स्त्री गमन, 3. मित्रों पर शंका। रावण ने विभीषण (हितैषी) पर शंका की और उन्हें निकाल दिया। इसके अलावा ऋषियों की हत्या और देव-द्रोह ने उसके पाप का घड़ा भर दिया है। विभीषण तार्किक रूप से बता रहे हैं कि वे क्यों अलग हुए।
